Beaver Scouts are boys and girls usually aged between six and eight years old. We belong to the first and youngest Section in the Scouting family. Boys and girls can join Beaver Scouts in the three months leading up to their sixth birthday. They can then move to the next Section, Cub Scouts, between eight and eight years six months.
We are easily recognised by our turquoise sweater and our group scarf which is emerald green with a red border.
We enjoy playing games indoors and outdoors, craftwork, outings and working on our
activity badges
and
challenge badges
we also have
stage badges
which are not just for the Beaver section but the older sections as well. The final badge that every Beaver should work towards is the
Chief Scouts Bronze Award
this is the top award in Beavers and is usually completed just before swimming up to the Cub section.
